Community Outreach Navigator
Pacific County Voices Uniting (PCVU) is hiring part-time and/or full time Community Outreach Navigator(s) based in South Pacific County. The Community Outreach Navigator(s) will be a valued member(s) of the PCVU Team and report to the Co-Executive Directors. The salary range is $50K-$55K/year with health care and dental benefits, 401K employer matching contributions, vacation, and sick leave. Position Responsibilities
Support and Training
Engage in a range of preferred communication methods/styles with people
Provide trauma-informed care with a harm reduction lens to assist community members in successful navigation for local, state and federal programs
Collaborate on the creation, distribution, and translation of culturally-relevant outreach materials to improve access to services
Prioritize relationship building and grassroots organizing
Participate in designated community meetings
Track community contacts to meet program reporting requirements
Community and Resources
Represent PCVU’s purpose and values in all spaces
Work with Community Partners in understanding services provided
Assist with developing messaging for program work
Create new partnerships and collaborations among various community groups
Organization
Help maintain reporting requirements for funders
Help shape and plan outreach programs and strategies
Model organizational culture of learning, growth, and evolvement
Assist when advised to advocate for policies on the local, state, and federal level
Other responsibilities as assigned or as the organization continues to grow and develop
Preferred Experience
Two years of community outreach and collaboration experience
Two years of reporting experience
Experience in networking with diverse groups including community members with lived experience
Ability to understand and speak multiple languages
Skills in Development
Planning and Fundraising
Assist with the development of a strategic long-term planning, identifying gaps along the continuum of care and aligning policies and procedures with community outreach needs
Participate in fundraising for general operations and programs through organizing, special events, earned income, and donor relations
